Marathons in November

November brings the biggest marathon in the world. The New York City Marathon runs through all five boroughs on the first Sunday of the month, followed by Philadelphia, Indianapolis Monumental, and other fast late-fall courses. In the desert Southwest, the heat finally breaks, starting a season that runs through spring.
