Marathons in May

May moves the calendar north and into the scenery. The Avenue of the Giants Marathon runs under old-growth redwoods in Humboldt County, and the Colorado Marathon descends Poudre Canyon into Fort Collins. With late-spring weather still cool in the mornings, May is a good fit for runners who trained through winter and want a destination race.‍
