King Breaks Own Course Record at Pear Blossom Run

The 35th Annual Pear Blossom Run in Medford, OR was held on Saturday, April 9 and spectators at the finish line were treated to quite a show as Medford native Max King duked it out with Mike Reneau for the win, setting a new course record for the 10-mile race in the process. “The Pear” is part of the USATF Oregon Grand Prix Series and included both 10-mile and 5K distances.

Notably, this was the second win for King in as many weeks after winning the Horse Butte 10 Miler in Bend, OR the previous weekend. King recently reported to RaceCenter that he will be participating in the Virgin London Marathon on April 17 as a pacer.
