Mount to Coast is a relative new-comer to the running shoe space. They’ve quietly made a name for themselves in the road, ultra distance, running world with their R1 road shoe released in 2024.
Mount to Coast recently launched the T1, their first shoe specifically designed for ultra distance trail running. The Vibram Megagrip soled T1 is constructed with their proprietary midsole, LightCELL, and their TUNEDFIT dual lacing system. The shoe won an ISPO award in 2024.

On the run, the first thing that struck me was how light and nimble the shoes felt. They felt almost weightless as I moved through my gait.
Durable? Absolutely. I doubt I’ll find weak spots in this upper thanks to the solid (yet minimal) overlays in necessary areas and the fact that it’s made from freakin’ Kevlar fibers. It still looks fresh after my testing period.

The T1’s outsole features a trio of Vibram® innovations: Megagrip rubber for tenacious traction in any condition, Litebase for 30 percent less weight without compromising performance, and Traction Lug micro-features for up to 25 percent more grip.
The TUNEDFIT Dual Lacing System offers separately customizable fit for the forefoot and midfoot. Even if your feet swell in the pursuit of distance, you can still relax and enjoy the ride.
