On April 21, 2024, Whidbey Island, just north of Seattle, WA, hosts the Whidbey Island Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1K Kids Run. The full marathon and half marathon courses promise to be exceptionally scenic. Experience country backroads, waterfront coastlines, rolling hills, and picturesque views of both snow-capped mountains and ocean waves. The full marathon is a point-to-point race starting at Pass Lake. All races finish at Bayshore Drive Waterfront in beautiful Downtown Oak Harbor. The full marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier.
For 2024, the event has expanded and partnered with the Capital City Marathon held May 19, the North Olympic Marathon held June 2, and the Orca Half Marathon held September 15, and the Royal Victoria Marathon held October 13, to form the Salish Sea Road Race Series.
