The Regatta Run is held in conjunction with Tualatin, Oregon’s Giant Pumpkin Regatta. For the past 12 years, this event has been a fundraiser for the Cpl. Matthew Lembke Scholarship Fund at Tualatin High School. We are happy to announce that the Regatta Run will continue, hosted now by the Tualatin Rotary Club whose fundraising efforts will support the Tualatin Rotary Scholarship for Tualatin High School graduating seniors.
Corporal Matthew Lembke lost his life from wounds sustained on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan, June 2009. To celebrate Matt’s character and service, a scholarship fund was created in his name. Now that the Tualatin Rotary will be hosting the Regatta Run, the fundraising will still be in support of Tualatin High School graduating seniors in the form of the Tualatin Rotary Scholarship.
