Prefontaine Memorial Run

10K run honoring American’s greatest distance runner, Steve Prefontaine, in his hometown of Coos Bay, OR. This year will be the 41st annual run, which is held on one of Pre’s favorite training routes. The hilly course runs primarily on surface streets and finishes on the Prefontaine Track at Marshfield High School where Pre set his last American record. A 2-mile fun run is held in conjunction with the 10K run. A separately contested high school 5K cross-country race starts 15 minutes prior to the start of the 10K run.
