Gold Rush Run and Walk

5,000 meter run and walk through historic Canyon City, Oregon. The event is part of the annual ’62 Days Celebration, commemorating the discovery of gold June 8, 1862. Loop course begins and ends at 1872 Sel’s Brewery, past humboldt diggings and whiskey gulch, up Rebel Hill and down to the finish on the gold rush-era main street.

The celebration features a parade, history pageant, games and bar-b-que dinner. Sel’s Brewery, a rustic and authentic old west saloon and beer garden serves up libations and live music until 1am each night. Outdoor recreation abound in this mountain setting. Biking and hiking are popular on nearby Canyon Mountain overlooking Canyon City.
