Race the Second Annual Country Girl Half Marathon and 10K

May 15, 2016 Portland, Oregon:  You don’t have to live in the country to be a part of the all-women’s Country Girl event hosted by Terrapin Events.  Country Girls do things a little differently.  They laugh in the face of challenges most people shy away from.  They enjoy the beauty of their surroundings.  And most importantly, they know how to have a good time!  If this sounds like you, grab your girlfriends and join us Sunday, September 25th for the second annual Country Girl half marathon and 10k.  This all women’s event is a great way to celebrate the country girl in you.

What better way to celebrate women’s running than to do it with thousands of other women along an inspiring and beautiful route.  The USATF CERTIFIED courses follow along the Columbia River, providing beautiful views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, and Mt. Saint Helens.  The route is flat and fast, making it an excellent choice for your first half marathon or for experienced runners trying to improve their PR.  All participants will receive a sweet Country Girl finisher necklace, and early registrants (before Sept. 6th) are guaranteed a Country Girl commemorative shirt.

After the race, unwind with your fellow country girls at the awesome post-race party.  Enjoy a tasty beverage from our “beer” garden.  Mimosas, wine, award winning Lagunitas beer, cider from Two Towns Ciderhouse, Brew Doctor Kombucha and more will be available to all.  Recharge with a complimentary Country Girl breakfast and cut a rug to some live country music.  Do what you want: it’s your party to celebrate after your accomplishment.
