Warrior Dash has had over 2.5 million participants cross the finish line since the event’s conception in 2009. The first Warrior Dash World Championship took place last October in Esparta, CA. Both World Championships have provided a $100,000 purse prize, the largest prize purse in non-track 5K history.
This is Max King’s second year as Men’s Division winner at the Warrior Dash World Championship. Bridget Franek beat out last year’s Women’s Division champion, Kimber Mattox, by 26 seconds after Mattox was slowed down in the final mud pit of the course.

About Warrior Dash: Warrior Dash is the obstacle course race that anyone can start and everyone can finish. With more than 50 international locations and over two million participants since 2009, Warrior Dash has reinvented the concept of a 5K run and created a revolution: Warrior Nation. Elite athletes and novice runners alike will conquer 12 world-class obstacles like Goliath and Great Warrior Wall, wade across wooded lakes, and venture through mud-caked backroads to cross the finish line. Participants are rewarded with a finisher medal (that doubles as a bottle opener and magnet), a sweet t-shirt, fuzzy Warrior helmet, and ice cold beer. At the post-race party, Warriors relive the course with friends, dance to live music, and celebrate the decision to leave their normal weekend in the mud.
