Fit Right to Open New Tanasbourne Store May 17, 2012

From Press Release –

The arrival of warm weather multiplies exponentially the runners that are found on the roads and trails in the Portland metro area, which Runner’s World recognized as the best running city in America. Road race season is in high gear as is the demand for running and walking apparel, footwear and accessories.

The two current Fit Right locations have earned a strong following among Portland area runners with strong sales. There have been several opportunities to grow Fit Right in the past few years. The opportunity to move into such a vibrant retail lifestyle center as the Streets of Tanasbourne was the perfect fit for co-founder, Dave Sobolik.

“Runners and walkers that live in the Beaverton and Hillsboro area have been seeking a store that specializes in running rather than the mass merchandiser that currently populate the running landscape” comments Fit Right co-founder Dave Sobolik.

Sobolik adds “besides having a highly trained staff, gait analysis and a 30-day trial, Fit Right participates in more than 80 community events many of which will now come to the new Tanasbourne location.”

This new store is scheduled to open at 10:00 AM with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5:45 PM on Thursday, May 17th. Hundreds of runners will take part in a free fun 5k run immediately following the ribbon cutting, many in preparation for the inaugural Rock ‘n Roll half marathon. Opening Night festivities will include raffle prizes including a Rock ‘n Roll Portland entry, free shoes, gift certificates and more. The run will include free Widmer Brothers beer and Wine by Joe.

Activities through opening weekend will include fun contests and special promotions including a shoe donation for your old athletic shoes to receive $5 off your Fit Right purchase May 17th-20th to benefit the local community. Oregonian columnist and 95.5 The Game host John Canzano and KATU reporter Anna Canzano will be on hand Sat, May 19th from noon – 3:00 PM to support the Bald Faced Truth Foundation.
