From Press Release –

The Eugene Marathon has scheduled its 9th annual race weekend for May 8-10, 2015.

Race organizers announced today that a three-day celebration of running will be held Mother’s Day weekend at historic Hayward Field, highlighted by the Eugene Marathon and Half Marathon. Those races will start at 7 a.m. on Sunday, May 10 with runners, once again, finishing on the track at Hayward Field.

Details and times will be announced soon for the Kids 1K Duck Dash, 5K community run, Health & Fitness Expo, pasta dinner and other Eugene Marathon events. “This is one of the fastest marathon courses in America,” Eugene Marathon race director Richard Maher said. “Last year, we broke the men’s and women’s course records, and in 2015 we expect to have many participants attempting to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials or Boston Marathon.”

“This is a fantastic opportunity for runners from across the country and around the world to experience TrackTown,” said Vin Lananna, president of TrackTown USA. “This is truly a dream destination for running enthusiasts and the Eugene Marathon always delivers.”

Established in 2007, the Eugene Marathon has been recognized by Runner’s World magazine as one of the “Best of the Best” marathons in the United States. The 2014 race featured participants from 49 states and 17 countries.

Event organizers will release further details in the coming weeks and months about a full weekend of activities for participants, fans and volunteers.
