Kick off the triathlon season this year with the SAC Tri at the Snohomish Aquatic Center (SAC) in Snohomish, WA, on April 14. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and offers Sprint and Super Sprint distances. The Sprint starts with a 500 yard pool swim followed by a 13.5 mile bike and 3.1 mile run. Super Sprint participants bike and run the same distance as the Sprint but start in the warmer recreation pool for a shorter 320 yard swim. The bike course follows along the Snohomish River and adjacent beautiful farmlands. After the bike leg, runners leave the transition area heading toward the Centennial Trail for an out-and-back run finishing on the track at the SAC. This is a great pre-season race to test your skills, practice your transitions and race on a flat course.
