TRIATHLON TRAINING CLINIC
PRESENTED BY TRI NorthWest & Speedshot Racing
It's time to get ready for the 2005 Triathlon/Duathlon
season here in the Northwest. This clinic is designed
to motivate and inform the beginner to intermediate
multisport athlete as the 2005 season quickly approaches.

Mark has a BA in Exercise and Sport Science / Pre-physical
Therapy from Western Washington University where
he was the founded of the WWU Triathlon team and
directed races locally. Mark is a certified USAT
Level I coach, a USCF Club Cycling Coach, and holds
C.S.C.S. and Health Fitness Instructor certifications
from the NSCA and ACSM, respectively. He has been
coaching and training athletes for several years
in Portland, Oregon where he coaches Masters Swimming
at ClubSport.
Mark's coaching philosophy is to set-up athletes
for achievement and excellence through use of quality
workouts, consistent speed work, and the creative
blending of coaching and science. Mark is an accomplished
age-group competitor in the Pacific Northwest in
both duathlon and triathlon and has competed in
long and short course racing for 8 years. He was
the PNW Regional Long Course Champ (Men 20-24 in
1996). Mark is also a 2-time team captain and member
of Team USA at Short Course Worlds for Duathlon.
