with water temperatures in the mid 70's. The bike
course is challenging with rolling hills. Cyclists
will complete two counter-clockwise loops around the
lake. Both loops will include a two mile out and
back section on Scoggins Valley Road. The 6.2mile
run is also scenic and challenging, with an out and
back course clockwise along the lake side road.
Sprint

Sprint course is basically a shortened version of
the Olympic distance, which will include a 1/2-mile
swim, one complete loop (including one out-and-back
on Scoggins Valley Road) on the bike, and a 5k run.
TRI-IT
(Timed/Non-Competitive) Distance:
The
Sprint Swim course is shortened to a 1/4 Mile, with
the bike including one complete loop (including one
out-and-back on Scoggins Valley Road), and a 5k run.
Duathlon:
Duathlon
participants will begin with a 5k run (out and back)
that will head right after reaching the top of the
Boat Ramp C entrance road. The bike portion conists
of two counter-clockwise loops around the lake. Each
loop will include the two mile out and back section
on Scoggins Valley Road. The 2nd run will be the same
5K course as the first run.
Aid
Stations:
Water
will be provided at approximately each mile on the
run (which will provide two water stops for the 5k
distance and five water stops for the 10k distance.
