Pacific Crest Kid's Splash Pedal-n-Dash continues to be a huge success with over 500 kid's participating in 2007. It has also become a major fundraiser for the Three Rivers Care for Kid's Foundation. This years' event is expected to again surpass 500 kids, and triple that with moms & dads and grandpas & grandmas watching on the sidelines. All adult athletes participating in the Pacific Crest Weekend are encouraged to bring out their kids to participate in this fun event designed just for kids to help kids. And for those who have not brought their young ones to Sunriver come out anyway to cheer the other kids on and to support the Three Rivers Care for Kid's Foundation.

The Kid's Tri begins with a climb up an inflatable staiway which is also a slide down and splash into the first of three wading pools (about 30 yards total length). Location is the parking area opposite the Bank of the Cascades in the NE corner of the Athlete Village. After completing their splash, they take off on their bikes for a 1-mile bike ride on safe, well monitored paved bike paths within Sunriver Resort. Upon finishing their bike they continue on their adventure with a ¼-mile out and back run on a different section of paved bike paths. They finish their run under the main finish banner that will be used for the Half Iron Triathlon on Saturday.

Kids will be timed using the ChampionChip Timing System (Timing Chips on their ankles just like the big guys), but the event is considered non-competitive. No awards will be given out. All Kid's will receive a finisher medal and T-shirt as well as a huge applause when they cross the finish line.

All proceeds of the Kid's Splash Pedal-n-Dash go to the Three Rivers Care for Kid's Foundation.

This fun kid's event starts and finishes in the Sunriver Village Mall inside Sunriver Resort located in sunny Central Oregon, just 15 miles south of Bend off of Highway 97.

START TIME: Friday, 4:00 p.m.

*Mail-in entries must be postmarked two weeks before the event.

Entry Fee Includes: 100% cotton commemorative T-shirt, finisher medal, ChampionChip Timing, live entertainment, plus lots of fun and camaraderie.

NOTE: T-shirts guaranteed to pre-registered participants only. Quantities and sizes will be limited after 6/15.

CONFIRMATIONS
confirmation cards will be mailed on 6/9 to those whos registration has been received by 6/1. Participant confirmations will also be posted on the www.racecenter.com website for all mail-in and online entries. Those registering after 6/1 may not receive a confirmation card in the mail and are to refer to the on-line confirmation list.

PACKET PICKUP
