Lake Oswego Junior Women's Club, and Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation
are proud to present the 32nd Annual 2008 Lake Run: A benefit
for Women and Children's Charities in the Portland area.

Fun Festival - Join us for the
8th annual Family Fun Festival Saturday, May 10th -- 8:00 am to
1:00 pm at Millennium Park (race finish venue). Bring your friends
& family and enjoy the fun, food, entertainment, crafts, info
booths, children's activities, and lots more.

Who has the most community spirit? Participate in the 32nd annual
Lake Run on May 10, 2008 and it may be your school!
All Lake Oswego and West Linn Elementary Schools
and Junior HS / High School Teams are eligible to compete for
the prizes awarded to the two schools with the most registered
participants. Two $1,000.00 prizes, divided between Elementary
School and the Junior HS / HS teams, will be awarded to their
PTO. You dont have to be a student to support the school
so encourage your family and friends to sign up for the Lake Run
School Challenge today!
Registrations must be received by Friday, May
2nd in order to be included in the School Challenge. Register

PICKUP / REGISTRATION |
Packet Pickup and Registration will
take place at Millennium Plaza Park in Lake Oswego on Friday,
May 9th from 12 noon to 6 pm. Packet Pickup and registration
will also take place on the morning of the race starting at
6:30am and ending 15 minutes prior to the
start of each race.
PLEASE NOTE: Race fees increase
5/9 and Day-of-Race to the following: 12K-$35.00, 5K-$30.00.
Kid's Dash remains the same at $15.00. (T-shirts are included
in the entry fee's received by 5/5 - quantities and sizes limited
for late entries.)
The
event will be timed using the ChampionChip™ Timing System. Participants
must wear a Timing Chip on their shoe in order to receive results.
If you own your own Timing Chip, please provide your Chip number
(seven digit alpha-numeric code) in the appropriate box on the
entry form. Timing Chips must be returned at the finish line
or a $30.00 replacement fee will be assessed from the Timing
Company. Timing Chips will be distributed along with assigned
Bib number at Packet Pickup on May 11th, and on Day-of-Race.

At
Millennium Plaza Park from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Family Fun
Festival will offer fun for all, including food, entertainment,
crafts, and expo booths. Bring your friends and family to enjoy
the festivities.
The
5K Run/Walk and 12K Lake Run begin at the intersection of State
Street and Foot Hills Road (just opposite the fountain below
Millennium Plaza Park). Both events end at Millennium Plaza
Park at the intersection of 2nd and Evergreen Streets in Lake
Oswego.

12K Run:
(an accurately measured course using USAT&F standards) -
is a challenging, scenic loop through beautiful residential
areas with stunning views of Oswego Lake. Due to City restrictions
the 12K event is for runners only.
5K Run/Walk: (an accurately measured course using USAT&F
standards) - is a scenic route that circles Lakewood Bay and
magnificent lake front neighborhoods.
1/2-Mile Kid's Dash: For children age 11 and under. Emphasis
is on non-competitive, family fun.
From
I-5 take exit 292 at Highway 217 and travel toward Lake Oswego.
At Boones Ferry Rd., turn left and continue to Country Club
Rd. Veer right at Country Club Rd. (This road becomes "A" Ave
at 10th St.) Continue to 1st and "A" Ave. where the entrance
to the Family Fun Festival will become apparent.
Finish
line and course photography will be provided by Penrose Photography.

Volunteers are needed to help with all facets
of the race and are welcome to help out as individuals or as a
group. If you are interested in volunteering for the Lake Run

Following many years of active and charitable service in The
Lake Oswego community, the members of Lake Oswego Junior Women's
Club were incorporated on October 23, 1996, as a non-profit

of Lake Oswego into closer unity and to promote the civic, cultural,
