Oregon’s Max King Win’s U.S. 50k Trail Running Title and XTERRA Trail Run National Championship in Single Weekend

From XTERRA Press Release – King capped an amazing weekend of racing by winning the 2011 XTERRA Trail Run National Championship on Sunday, Sept. 25, at Snowbasin Resort near Ogden, Utah. Northwest Athletes Among Top Finishers at Duathlon World Championship

From USA Triathlon – Team USA athletes impressed on the world multisport stage Sunday by claiming 14 age group world championship titles and 29 total medals at the 2011 ITU Duathlon World Championships. In addition to the 14 gold medals, U.S. athletes combined for eight silver and seven bronze medals in the sprint- and standard-distance run-bike-run events. Oregon’s Galen Rupp Shatters 10,000m American Record in Brussels

From USATF Press Release – Galen Rupp shattered the existing 10,000-meter American record while Walter Dix ran the second fastest 200m time in American history and four other American athletes secured Diamond League crowns at the Brussels Diamond League meet Friday. Rupp’s third-place time of 26 minutes, 48.00 seconds crushed Chris Solinsky’s time of 26:59.60, which he ran in 2010.
