Quiet county roads, with a finish on a wide dirt trail
that circles the lake. Do expect to see light vehicle
traffic (local residents). There are a few hills.

SPECIAL NOTE: There
is a 1/4-mile section of the run course that is rough
(pot-holes and gravel). We have spent many hours with
the county and local authorities to try to come up with
a solution (fix it, or different course). We have had
no luck in acheving a solution, as the residence do
not want the road fixed (it keeps the traffic slowed
down), and there is no safe, logistical option for a
new run course. We have talked with athletes that do
the event, and the feed back is that they do not mind
the small inconvenience in lew of cancelling the event.
Additionally, we had some people in the
Olympic Du miss a turn on the course in 2007. We will
have better signage, and a race manager located that
that location.
AID STATIONS: Aid stations will be located approximately
every other mile, as well as at the transition zone
and the finish line. Porta Potties will be located at
every aid station.
MARKING: The run course will be marked with
white lime & large pink directional signs, and monitored
by volunteers. Each mile will be marked with mileage
sign. The Run course will be marked on Thursday afternoon
(including mile markers).
COMMUNICATIONS: Every aid station (even numbers)
on the run course will have radio communication with
the finish line and the Course Manager. If you cannot
finish the race for any reason, please notify the closest
aid station, or report it to the finish line. If you
do not finish, please make sure that you return your
Timing Chip to the finish line.
