Grab Your Spot in the Northwest’s Premier Fundraising Ride

Cyclists call the Fred Hutch Obliteride an awesome first-class event for good reason. There are three beautiful, well-supported routes to choose from and riders are treated to fantastic food and entertainment. This year, Obliteride has added a new 5k walk, so even your non-cyclist friends can participate. You won’t want to miss this summer’s event on August 11, 2018.

Obliteride is a high-energy weekend that truly brings the community together. Curing cancer is the goal, and funding from Obliteride is accelerating research at the Hutch. Obliteriders celebrate, honor, and heal while engaging with others committed to helping Fred Hutch cure cancer faster. Obliteride began in 2013, and since then more than 6,000 people have raised over $12 million for lifesaving research at Fred Hutch. Thanks to support from event sponsors, 100% of every rider-raised dollar goes to Fred Hutch.

All routes tour Seattle’s most scenic shorelines. Riders start at the University of Washington campus and finish at Gas Works Park, where they will enjoy a delicious meal, beverages and live music. It’s easy to sign up.

Step One.

Pick a distance. Whether you’re an avid cyclist, beginning rider, or prefer to walk, there’s an option for you:

  • 100 mile ride: travel south to Tacoma and back north along Puget Sound.
  • 50 mile ride: spin around the sound end of Lake Washington and back across Mercer Island and I-90
  • 25 mile ride: an easy pedal to Seward Park and back to Gas Works Park
  • 5K walk:  stroll along the scenic Burke-Gilman Trail

Step Two.

Start a team to make it more fun. Invite your friends, family, and co-workers to join you or they can choose a different route and everyone will meet at the finish line. Riders, walkers and volunteers can join the same team and work to make a collective impact.

Step Three.

Start fundraising. Past Obliteriders say that once you get started, it’s much easier than you think it’s going to be. The Obliteride team is ready to support fundraising by sharing ideas from past riders and giving tips to get you to your fundraising finish line.

One, two, three. Join Obliteride and help Fred Hutch to cure cancer faster.
