Race Report: 2012 Portland Triathlon – Olympic Distance

Submitted by Craig Dean – The fastest growing race in the Pacific Northwest took on a new venue for the 2012 edition of the Portland Triathlon.  Due to capital improvements to the light rail system and some uncertainties with the prior venue of Tom McCall Waterfront Park, race directors moved the venue to the expanses of Cathedral Park in north Portland.  Registration filled throughout the season and reached the nearly 1,000 capacity limit a week …more »

Oregon’s King Wins U.S. 50K Trail Championship, XTERRA Trail Run National Title in Single Weekend

From XTERRA Press Release – Max King from Oregon continued his amazing streak of XTERRA Trail Run Championships with another amazing weekend. King, 32, won the 2012 XTERRA Trail Run National Championship for the fifth consecutive year on Sunday, September 23, at the Snowbasin Resort near Ogden, Utah. Race Report: 2012 Black Diamond Long Course Triathlon

Submitted by Craig Dean – Saturday September 15 marked the 10th annual Black Diamond Long Course Triathlon.  Participants enjoyed near perfect conditions for both racing and spectating.  In all, 199 athletes completed the 70.3-mile long course triathlon with a few of the region’s usual suspects competing for the overall and age group titles. Northwest Talent Leads Team USA to Women’s World Mountain Running Championship Title

Hesch and Bak Take 2012 Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon Titles
