Hagg Lake to Host One of the Country’s Oldest Triathlons on July 7, 2012

From Press Release – The modern sport of triathlon had its modest beginnings with an event held in Mission Bay in San Diego, CA on September 25, 1974. There were 46 athletes that day. Seven years later Hagg Lake Triathlon became one of six stops on the Bud Light Triathlon Series Tour drawing about 500 athletes with Dave Scott coming out on top. 2012 Blue Lake Triathlon Kicks Off Northwest Season, Club Champions Crowned

This year’s Blue Lake Triathlon & Duathlon is in the books and the 2012 Northwest triathlon season is officially under way. Seven different events were held over the weekend with Saturday, June 9 playing host to the sprint distance events and Sunday attracting athletes competing in the Olympic distances races.
