Event Update: The Chase Canceled by Event Organizers

AA Sports, LTD. announced today the cancellation of The Chase that was slated for Sunday, September 5. “Limited numbers of teams have entered the event at this time, which has forced us to cancel the event,” remarked Race Director Carol Atherton. “This event was popular several years ago, but the numbers of teams and the man hours needed to produce The Chase simply didn’t pan out.”

AA Sports co-owner Jon Atherton reported the return of the event for 2010 in an interview earlier this year citing “numerous request from athletes” who wanted to see the multi-sport event resurrected. Unfortunately, the cancellation of this year’s reincarnated race has suffered the same fate it did several years ago – lack of participation.
